I instructed Bahraini students in 2007 at the American Culture and Education Center while my wife was posted at the US Embassy in Manama, Bahrain. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and believe that my students advanced remarkably in their English knowledge and proficiency during the course of instruction. My love of teaching and enthusiasm for the classroom participation in every learning objective makes it difficult for students to remain detached and non-involved during classroom instruction, which certainly maximizes the potential to learn. Additionally, I myself have learned several languages including Arabic, French, German, and Spanish, and still use Arabic on a regular basis whenever I get the opportunity. Having studied these languages, I have a good understanding of the struggles and challenges that are inherent with learning a new language. Although I do not have an extensive background in teaching English, I do have considerable experience teaching and training in my military background. As a result, I am confident teaching in front of a group, both small and large, and believe I am an effective communicator and engaging teacher.
