I have a strong academic background in multifarious subjects and am confident in my abilities to meet the needs of any and all students. I am highly animated, as I was in theatre arts programs for five years and acted in as well as directed several plays. I have a friendly disposition and am extremely patient. I learned immense patience from volunteering with mentally/physically disabled and abused children. I form personal relationships with my students and make them feel completely comfortable with me. I refrain from acting superior or making my students feel inadequate. My sessions are intimate and I continually instill a sense of pride in my students and encourage them in any way possible. I have a profound desire to enrich the minds of young people. I am very tenacious and have staunch work ethics, and these attributes are evident in all endeavors I undertake. I believe that learning should be fun, despite the seriousness of it. As an Artist I can relate to children's need of creativity, stimulation and inspiration;by being aware of this I can adapt this as strategies used to teach children and to gain not only their attention but also trust.

I am also a children’s writer and film Animator. My latest film, which deals with cultural diversity and tolerance has been shown to school children in both Britain and the United States . This film has been the basis of classroom forums. Other previous experience includes art therapy for adults with special needs.

I have experience with classroom Instruction for SAT included reviewing basic skills and test taking strategies while disciplining students into a prep curriculum. I also performed personalized diagnostic analysis and helped place students into classes. I also counselled high school students in small groups. I also conducted intensive SAT workshops for Writing and Critical Reading strategies. For some students that prefered individual attention, I tailored tutorial sessions for private in-home instruction to meet their needs and schedules. I prepared and planned my tutoring sessions in cordance with the lectures of the professor's curriculum. My biggest challenge was designing a lesson plan for all students alike, developing a strategy to help them master all the skills they need. I assigned practice problems and homework assignments relevant to the subject matter and followed up by reviewing the strategies used to guide the student through exercises exclusive to the entrance test they are prepping for.

I am located in central LA, near Koreatown. A published author (both fiction and non-fiction), I am particularly good at helping young people improve their writing and thin skills. I will come to you, or you can come to my home in West Adams (near Koreatown) and work there.
