I have taught English, ESL and Drama for a number of years now at a secondary school in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. I have taught VCE English for many years and am passionate about enhancing both student academic capabilities and determination to excel at school. I am patient, proficient, dedicated, knowledgable and enthusiastic. Whilst at university I spent a year doing voluntary teaching in Kenya and learnt much about approaches toward teaching. Whilst at university I was also trained to teach primary school aged students.
My knowledge on novels/texts is abundant as I work for another company who lectures VCE students and I also write study guides for VCE texts.

i was once tutored in math during high school, so i understand how it feels to feel like your struggling.im very patient and want to make sure the student always feels confident in what they are doing. I have undertaken a BA, majored in English and Drama (including literature) and minored in Legal Studies and Media. i was offered to do an honours course this year, but decided to go directly to teaching. I believe just a little bit of one on one help not only helps the student improve their work, but improve their overall confidence.

I enjoy helping students reach their potential, free up their voices and creativity and find their individual performative self whilst keeping in mind the criteria of their course to reach best marks possible. In depth text work will also be explored.

As i have been studying to be a teacher i have the know how to create a program that people can follow.I am patient, easy to understand and have a good repore with people.
