Details:
I have previously had experience in teaching during my gap year. I spent 8 months in Sri Lanka teaching english to deaf (and sometimes blind) students ranging between the ages of 5 and 18. Patience was an absolute necessity- there was such a range of abilities in a single classroom and I had to accommodate all. I realised that role play is a very important part of the learning process and so I had to be very imaginative. I am passionate and enthusiastic about teaching- I feel it is vital that students, in turn, learn to be passionate and enthusiastic about learning.
