I have over 15 years experience in one to one and small group tutoring with a diverse student population of all ages including students with special needs and ESL students. In addition to a varied teaching experience, my background includes a Masters degree in Educational Psychology (with a minor in Sports Psychology) including academic coaching, certificates in Making Math Real, CBest and TEFL/ESL. My masters thesis concerned the relationship between self esteem and success or lack of success in math related subject matter in young adults
Tutoring is individualized. I assess each student's strengths and weaknesses and focus my tutoring approach on how each student learns best. Since organizational skills are also a part of learning and homework assignments students are given methods of how to organize materials, develop good study habits, and prepare for tests. I am available all day everyday.
