I am a 28 year old male, recently completed my doctorate and am looking to supplement university teaching with some private tutoring. I have over a year\'s experience of home tutoring in English at GCSE level, and a year\'s experience of teaching Film Studies at degree level.
I am patient, friendly and communicate well with students of all ages.

I'm a 26 yr old (mature) student. Outgoing, friendly, driven. Analytical and critical. I speak fluent Spanish and have a love for all language. I am an avid poetry reader and feel we can learn vital things through the study and appreciation of poetry and the Arts in general. I have a thirst for knowledge and feel I can make learning fun. Isn't that what it's supposed to be about? For my thesis I am researching the social weight of words in relation to James Joyce.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in New Zealand and I have tutored ESL students in Hong Kong. My background as a journalist and newspaper sub-editor makes me well qualified to guide students in the correct use of English and to improve their writing skills. I am a mother of two young children and I appreciate the patience and sensitivity required to tutor both children and adults. i was once tutored in math during high school, so i understand how it feels to feel like your struggling.im very patient and want to make sure the student always feels confident in what they are doing. I have undertaken a BA, majored in English and Drama (including literature) and minored in Legal Studies and Media. i was offered to do an honours course this year, but decided to go directly to teaching. I believe just a little bit of one on one help not only helps the student improve their work, but improve their overall confidence.
